FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

For detailed analysis of piping components such as tube sheets, branch connections, nozzle connections, flanges, tee's, lifting lugs or any other object, structural or otherwise, which may be under undesirably heavy loads and/or stresses, we use finite element techniques and software. We regularly create 2D and 3D models to predict mechanical stresses due to pressure, temperature, and other applied loadings, as well as vibrational frequencies and heat transfer calculations. Listed below are the software programs we currently use:

POWERSOLVER (FEMAP® / CAEFEM®) is a general purpose program for linear, non-linear, and transient analyses of complex three-dimensional elastic and plastic structures composed of shells, plates, and straight and curved beams. The program computes the dynamic and static response to distributed, thermal, centrifugal and concentrated loads. The program has been used to solve diverse problems for piping, nuclear, tank shell, structural, and biomedical engineering problems.
